NBFPD2015 – Jersey City Photo Walk

by | Sep 23, 2015 | Feature, Photography | 3 comments

On Saturday, Sept 22, 2015, I led my first photo walk. I think everyone had a great time. We ended up with a group of 10, including our youngest photographer Kayla, age 11. Ken came from the DC area to participate with our group, and there was also Dee from Texas.

About 4 years ago I became a member of the Black Female Photographers group. Each year they hold a national photo walk day to help bring attention to the group and promote camaraderie among the members and community. There has never been walk group in New Jersey, so this year I decided to lead one. I selected Jersey City because of the waterfront and convenient public transportation. As always, the NYC skyline was beautiful and the threatening rain clouds added some nice drama to the images.

Take a peek at some of the photos from our day.
